Acting as key scientific advisors in relation to the collection of convalescent plasma from Ebola survivors.

Supporting the logistics for a massive air-drop of blood mobiles, apheresis machines and medical supplies to Conakry in Guinea; Monrovia in Liberia and Lagos in Nigeria. This initiative was funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.(November 2014)

Creating the first indigenous initiative for the storage of bio-data on a secure dedicated server.(December 2014)

Organizing and co-hosting the first African conferences on Emerging Infectious Diseases in collaboration with the West African Task Force for Research into Emerging Infectious Diseases (WATER) in Dakar, Senegal. The conference was held to accelerate the support for recovering Ebola patients, survivors and for the evaluation of potential treatment and vaccines in West Africa. The meeting outcomes have become known as the Dakar Declaration, which sets out the physical and human capacity deficiencies in most African sub-regions.(January 2015)
